REISTERSTOWN, MD--Headed up by Mary Illiano, this group's sensible approach to doing what they can permits them to take a combination of easy- and hard-to-place dogs.  Their careful matchmaking helps ensure the best possible outcomes.  This is a group still in pursuit of 501(c)3 incorporation.

EASTERN PA--Sonya Schuler led this tiny, nearly single-handed organization to place a whopping 30 dogs.! This group is selling homemade dog toys to raise funds for their 501(c)3, but your donation could go a lot further toward their goals than a dog toy purchase.

LANCASTER, PA-- Without public funds or support from HSUS, this group helps 12,000 animals every year.  Faced with the immense challenges presented, they do more and better every year.   From the front door to the kennel help, I don't know how they find a way to smile, but they do!!
